The NFL draft is an exciting time for all teams and fans. Teams are selecting who they believe will taken them into the future. But the fact is you never know with a draft prospect. Remember when the Jets took Mark Sanchez? Radio City Music Hall went berserk. It was like everyone believed they had drafted the second coming of Joe Namath.

How did that work out? Sanchez is barely in the league now. He is just one of the many examples of draft busts. Once a player puts on that NFL uniform there are no promises. They could turn into Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, or they could turn into Ryan Leaf. There is just no way to know.

We know that Kirk Cousins can perform in an NFL uniform. Over the last three years he has thrown for at least 4,000 yards. His career completion percentage is 65.5%. His TD to INT ratio is 99-55. Jets fans only wish they had a quarterback of this caliber. If/when he shakes free, it would be a no-brainer to bring him into the fold.
