Clubhouse Presence/Leadership Ability

The biggest asset that Todd Frazier brought to the table when he joined the New York Yankees last year was his clubhouse presence. Frazier loves playing baseball and believe it or not, that is not the case with every player in the major leagues.

The Yankees were a young team in 2017 and will be again in 2018. They could use a veteran leader like Frazier.

New York rallied around Frazier’s “Thumbs Down” movement and watching him celebrate in the playoffs brought fans back to the days of Little League where having fun was the main objective.

Mike Moustakas brings a good clubhouse presence himself. After coming up through the Royals’ organization, he and Eric Hosmer became the leaders of the team and faces of the franchise.

Frazier has the advantage of already spending time in the Yankees clubhouse but Moustakas shouldn’t have a problem fitting in. “Moose” was a part of the young, fun Kansas City team that won the AL pennant in 2014 and the World Series in 2015.

As the Yankees look to take the next step to becoming World Series champions, Moustakas’s leadership could play a key role.

The 2017 New York Yankees were a special group and Todd Frazier perhaps made them more fun to watch than anyone else. We know he’ll fit in with the 2018 Yankees and could help them achieve their ultimate goal.
