The 2017 season has been one to forget for the New York Giants, and safety Landon Collins was the only Giants player who was voted into the 2018 Pro Bowl.

For the second consecutive season, New York Giants safety Landon Collins has been voted into the Pro Bowl.

Collins, who is in his third season out of Alabama, will start at strong safety for the NFC. The results of the 2018 Pro Bowl voting were revealed on Tuesday night.

Collins has yet to miss a game this year. He has two fumble recoveries and two interceptions on the season. In 14 games played, he has recorded 77 total tackles (103 combined).

During the Giants game against the Philadelphia Eagles this past Sunday, Collins re-aggravated an injury to his left ankle. He has been dealing a sprained left ankle for a good portion of the season. After limping off the field early in the second quarter, Collins did not return to the game.

Even though the Giants’ final two games of the season are meaningless, Collins is still determined to play. According to Tom Rock of Newsday, Collins stated on Wednesday that even know he knows that he should not play due to the injury, that is not going to be his answer.

This determination is admirable, especially during a season in which the Giants have been so decimated by injuries. There is no reason for Collins to play this week, but it appears as though he wants to fight through his injury and play against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Not only is Collins already one of the Giants’ best defensive players, but he is also turning into a leader.

Collins definitely deserved to be voted into the Pro Bowl again. He has not missed a game since being drafted by the Giants in 2015. Collins will try and keep his starting streak alive on Sunday against the Cardinals in Glendale.
