The Buffalo Bills will play the middle game of a three game home stand on Sunday when they play host to the Indianapolis Colts in potentially snowy conditions.

Winter is in the air in Buffalo as it has been snowing all week at One Bills Drive. The winter weather comes at a perfect time for the Buffalo Bills as they are right on the cusp of a playoff spot.

The Bills come into this game with some question marks at QB.

Tyrod Taylor suffered a knee injury in last weeks loss to the Patriots.

He has been limited in practice all week and will be a game time decision.

Nathan Peterman will get the start if Tyrod cannot.

As for the Colts, they come into this game with one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

They have allowed over 27 points per game and allowed over 270 yards in the air.

The Bills are going to have to expose the defense to have any chance to win.

The possible snow will make it very difficult to pass the ball a lot, but it’s still something the Bills should think is worth pursuing.

The Colts come into the game sitting at a lowly 3-9, while the Bills are right at .500 at 6-6.

Sunday’s meeting will be the first meetings between the two teams since the Bills were able to take Indy down in Week 1 of 2015.

All time the Bills hold the 36-31-1 advantage over the Indianapolis/Baltimore Colts.

The game come as some sort of Deja-Vu for Bills diehards because the Bills played the Colts in a snow storm in January of 2010. The Bills came out on top of that one 30-7.

The Bills should have the advantage in this one.

A few fun matchups include Tre’Davious White (who cleared concussion protocol this week) vs T.Y Hilton.

But, the more intriguing matchup is LeSean McCoy vs Frank Gore. If the snow is going to be falling, or even hurting the conditions of the field, both established backs are going to have to put the team on their backs and have big games.

The BIlls made the bold decision to wear their red-on-red color rush uniforms for the game.

With a win, Buffalo will get right back in the hunt of the AFC Wild Card race.

After the Colts, the Bills have three straight division games to wrap up the season.

Sunday’s game will by no means be easy. The Colts would love to play spoiler and get a big road win.

Buffalo has one advantage in that some of their players saw, and shutout Jacoby Brissett last year when he played against Buffalo as a Patriot. Perhaps the Bills’ defense will be able to duplicate that performance.

Next: Bills fall to the Patriots

Next week, the rival Dolphins come to town. It’ll be great for the Bills Mafia if that game truly means something.

The game it is also important to keep an eye on LeSean McCoy‘s quest for 10,000 career rushing yards. He sits at 9, 805 yards, a big day will all but guarantee he get there by the end of the season.

My prediction:

It’ll be a gritty game. After last week, it is hard to think the Bills can blow out an opponent, but they can hang on and win this one in conditions that favor them.
