Here are the three keys for the New York Jets to earn a victory over the Denver Broncos this weekend.

The New York Jets sit in absolute no-man’s land right now. If the season ended today they would hold the 11th pick in the draft. They also sit as the 11th seed in the AFC playoff hunt. It puts them mathematically in the running on both ends. The Jets aren’t far from picking in the top ten, nor are they many places away from making the playoffs. It creates an interesting dynamic for the rest of the season.

It’s with that in mind that Josh McCown, Robby Anderson and company head out to Denver to face Trevor Siemian, Von Miller and the rest of the Denver Broncos. The Jets enter this one with a 5-7 record, coming off of an exciting 38-31 win over the Chiefs. What made it even more exciting is the fact that the Jets had to make a comeback, being they started out down 14-0 before you could blink an eye. It shows a growing maturity within this group.

On the other hand, the Broncos have lost their last eight games, turning a 3-1 start to a 3-9 record that has all but rendered them irrelevant. When you can’t get a quarterback nothing gets going. Man that sounds familiar. The latest loss came at the hands of the Dolphins by the score of 35-9. The season has not been kind to the Denver Broncos.

These two teams have faced each other 35 times with the Broncos winning 19 of them and the two teams tying once. The last battle came in 2014 when the Broncos won at MetLife by the score of 31-17. The last Jets victory in the series came in 2010. They topped the Broncos in Denver, 24-20.

How do the Jets win this one? Let’s talk about three ways.
