What players will the New York Yankees chase in the offseason? What will be the package/contract that they will be traded for/sign?

The Yankees will bring back CC Sabathia on a short-term deal, ranging between one and two years, and then let deadline acquisition Jaime Garcia walk.

Michael Pineda will sign a similar deal to CC’s but proceed to start the season on the DL as he recovers from Tommy John surgery.

Matt Holliday will be let go, with former Yankee Curtis Granderson returning in his place on the same one-year, $13 million deal.

Then, in Aroldis Chapman fashion, the Yanks will bring back reliever Tyler Clippard for a third stint with the team on a cheap one-year deal.

Which prospects will make the team next year?

More from New York Yankees

I expect most of the team’s improvements to come from within, primarily through the gaining of chemistry and experience next season between the guys already on the roster. Prospects will be called up, but I can’t foresee any big names like Gleyber Torres or Chance Adams being on the Opening Day roster.

Miguel Andujar will earn a spot in spring training, after taking the time necessary in the offseason to refine his abilities out in the field.

Also, Clint Frazier will be back, this time for good—the kid has earned it.

And finally, what is your 25-man roster for next season? Take into account the free agents you sign and re-sign and players you trade/trade for.
