Sam Bradford

With Case Keenum lighting the league on fire and Teddy Bridgewater believed to be the future, the Minnesota Vikings won’t be re-signing Sam Bradford this offseason.

Bradford is out for the remainder of this season with a knee injury that could be career-threatening. However, if Bradford continues his career, the New York Giants should be interested.

When Bradford was last healthy in 2016, he set the NFL record for single-season completion percentage at 71.6%. He also completed 74.4% of his passes in the two games he played this season.

Health will, of course, be the biggest factor here. Bradford has to first decide if he wants to continue playing and then the Giants have to decide if his knee is healthy enough to take a chance on.

Unlike Kirk Cousins, Bradford is likely not a long-term option at quarterback. Aside from his questionable knees, Bradford has also had shoulder issues that date all the way back to his college days.

If the New York Giants are going to sign Sam Bradford, they may want to double down by drafting a young quarterback as well. However, if the Giants are just looking for a veteran to bridge the gap to a top draft pick, they might as well stick with Eli Manning.
