New York Yankees: 5 things for fans to be thankful for
By Sean Dyer
Didi Gregorius Now Has 280 Characters to Use for His Game-Winning Tweets
Twitter has always limited its users to 140 characters per Tweet. This made it difficult getting certain messages across. Some people had to send out multiple Tweets just to say what was on their mind.
As most Yankees fans know, Didi Gregorius sends out Tweets after the Yankees win. His Tweets are funny, creative, and filled with emojis. He has specific emojis that he uses for certain players.
Gregorius didn’t seem to have a hard time entertaining fans with his 140 character Tweets but now he can take them to the next level.
Twitter expanded its character count to 280 in early November and it has Didi excited.

For Yankees fans, this is good news. Gregorius can now talk about more player contributions after wins which means more creative emojis. If you don’t follow Didi already, you definitely have to now.
The 2017 New York Yankees were entertaining because they were a bunch of talented young players having fun. They were a tight-knit group and different from the veteran Yankee teams many of us are used to. With 280 characters, Didi Gregorius should make the 2018 New York Yankees twice as fun!
Many of you probably didn’t think much of Twitter expanding its character count. However, @DidiG18 will make it worth being thankful for.
