Here are five members of the New York Jets to be thankful for this holiday season.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the New York Jets fans out there, both near and far.  We can’t tell you enough how grateful we are that you are spending a few minutes of your holiday with Empire Writes Back. We can’t do without you, the fans and readers. Whatever you are doing to celebrate today, enjoy it, be happy and be safe.

We all take a few minutes this time of year to think about what we are thankful for. Some of us say it’s family, some say friends, maybe their job, whatever it might be. For many it’s a combination of several things. But everyone has something to say when asked that question. It’s an element of the holiday that makes it very special.

Let’s now take it from the perspective of Jets fans. What are we thankful for with regards to the team? I know I am thankful for the fact that they have not been an embarrassment. At 4-6 and competitive in nearly every game, the Jets have been far from embarrassing. They have been better than most of the world expected them to be. It’s worth being thankful for.

Taking it further now, which players are worth being thankful for? Here are five players Jets fans should be thankful for this holiday season.
