Ereck Flowers Has Stepped Up

I know it’s crazy to think that we should be thankful for Ereck Flowers but he really has improved this season.

In fact, Flowers has not allowed a sack since Week 2, the second-longest active streak in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus. He also hasn’t allowed a single pressure over the last two weeks, per PFF.

The Giants have been losing almost every week, which has masked the improvement of Flowers and the entire offensive line. However, if Flowers can continue to keep Eli Manning’s blindside safe, he may finally become the left tackle of the future that we’ve been waiting three years for.

We may watch the Giants lose tonight but if we don’t have to watch Ereck Flowers act like a turnstile and instead see a left tackle who can be part of the future, that is something to be thankful for.
