New York Jets draft pick grades through bye week
By Nolan Rich
Like Stewart, Chad Hansen’s chances to make an impact were seriously hindered after New York acquired Jeremy Kereley and Jermaine Kearse.
However, Hansen appears to be the benefactor of the Kerley suspension with significant playing time against Tampa Bay making three catches for 33 yards. Before the Tampa Bay game, Hansen hadn’t had a catch the entire season.
The good news for Hansen appears to be getting the opportunity to make an impact with the Jeremy Kerley suspension. It’s a limited opportunity, but it may be the only chance Hansen get to make an impact with the Jets this season.
It will be interesting to see which of the rookie receivers between Stewart and Hansen will get the opportunities down the stretch. At the moment, Hansen appears to have the inside track.
