Miguel Andujar

My personal favorite to be the New York Yankees DH in 2018 is Miguel Andujar.

Andujar had a stellar major league debut last year, going 3-4 with four RBI, but was sent back down to Triple-A to work on his defense at the hot corner.

If Andujar was the everyday DH, however, he wouldn’t have to worry about his defense. He could focus on hitting, which he already excels at.

Between Double-A and Triple-A last year, Andujar hit .315 with 36 doubles, 16 home runs, and 82 RBI. This kid can hit.

The Yankees wouldn’t have to part with any extra cash or prospects to acquire Andujar and he’s the No. 91 prospect in all of baseball.

Andujar is set to battle Chase Headley, Gleyber Torres, and Tyler Wade for the starting third base job in spring training. However, if Andujar struggles defensively but hits like he has his whole career, he could win the starting DH spot.
