Who earned their wings for the New York Jets against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
It was a tough afternoon for the New York Jets in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers were without their starting quarterback and top starting wide receiver. The Jets went up against Ryan Fitzpatrick in a game they were favored to win and fell by the score of 15-10. With the loss, the Jets head into the by week with a record of 4-6.
Now the Jets have a tough schedule coming out of the break, with opponents such as the Panthers, Chiefs, Saints and Patriots. The Jets may only be able to muster one or two wins in the back portion of this schedule. No matter what happens, the team has surprised everyone in the NFL landscape and proven they are on the right track. They are hungry and they believe in one another.
As always, there are still game balls to pass out. We have been giving out wings to three players per week for the entire season. Let’s see who earned their wings this week:

ROBBY ANDERSON: Anderson didn’t start this season off very well but has continued his weekly progression. The longer he has played with Josh McCown, the bigger his feature in the offense has become. With the game against the Bucs, he caught a touchdown pass to go along with four catches for 85 yards. Not bad for a guy that went undrafted out of Temple.
DARRYL ROBERTS: One group that has been a work in progress for this team has been the cornerbacks. Simply put, they are a young group that is just realizing all they can do. Against the Bucs, Roberts came up big, picking off a pass to go along with leading the team with eight tackles.

AUSTIN SEFERIAN-JENKINS: Have to give it to the tight end one more time. He has proven time and time again that he is a brand new man. This week he posted six receptions for 67 yards.
