The Carmelo Anthony trade left New York Knicks fans in disarray. So far this season, however, Kristaps Porzingis has exceeded expectations. What are the next steps for New York?

Months ago, the New York Knicks were on the brink of destruction. Phil Jackson was ready to buy out Carmelo Anthony’s contract and he was shopping Kristaps Porzingis around the league like he was a bag of chips.

Following Jackson’s dismissal and Scott Perry’s hiring as the new general manager, the Knicks have taken many steps forward in terms of preparing for the future. As the team currently experiences some success, the question on many fans’ minds is simple: what next?
