Here are five players responsible for the New York Jets unexpected start to the 2017 season.

How could the New York Jets be doing this well? This team has no talent, it’s one of the worst rosters in a decade! They are supposed to be a lock for the number one pick that performs even worse than the Cleveland Browns! How could this be happening?

This is what most of the football landscape is saying. They may not say it publicly but we know they are shocked. This team was predicted by multiple sources to finish the year 0-16. I’ll admit that even I had them at 3-13. Nobody on Earth had them even sniffing a playoff position. Well that is exactly what the Jets are doing. At 4-5, they are right in the thick of things, and whether they win or lose on Sunday against the Buccaneers, they will still be in the thick heading into their bye week.

Now that we see it happening, we look at the next question. How is it happening? Who is responsible for this Jets team going against what everyone assumed would happen? Well of course, they play the games on the field and that is the biggest reason. We never really know what will happen until the team gets between the white lines. But I mean, which players have stepped up and led the team forward? Every team has players that drive the bus. Who are they for the Jets?

Here we take a look at five guys that are really getting the job done.
