The New York Yankees have a bright future but have some holes to fill. Let’s take a look at their biggest needs this offseason.

The New York Yankees missed the World Series by one game, falling to the eventual champion Houston Astros in Game 7 of the ALCS.

It has been about two weeks since the Yankees season ended and it is now time to focus on the offseason. New York has its young core in place and now must add a few pieces to go from contender to champion.

One could argue that the Yankees’ biggest need right now is finding their future manager. Once that is figured out, however, general manager Brian Cashman will focus on adding to his roster.

There are not many glaring needs when you look at the New York Yankees roster, but there’s always room for improvement.

Today we’ll take a look at New York’s biggest needs and we’ll look at specific free agents and trade candidates who could fill those holes down the road.
