. . Special Teams. F.

Special teams will haunt the Jets after Sunday’s loss. First Chandler Catanzaro missed two make-able field goals that cost the Jets six valuable points. Catanzaro was released from Arizona because of his misses and will be under scrutiny on Thursday night and might not be with the team much longer if he continues to miss big kicks.

Next: Three takeaways from Jets loss to Atlanta

The turning point of the game came late in the fourth after a big stop by the defense when Jeremy Kerley muffed a punt. While the Jets defense held the Atlanta offense to a field goal, this changed the game from the Jets needing a field to take the lead, to needing a touchdown. This cost the Jets a possession and made it even harder to make a comeback.

If there was any praise from the unit it was Lachlan Edwards who did a great job pinning the Falcons deep with his punting.
