New York Jets Week 8 Position Report Card
By Nolan Rich
The Jets secondary had a difficult task on Sunday made even more difficult with no pass rush. Still, they were able to keep the high-powered Falcons passing attack to 254 yards.
Morris Claiborne did a terrific job guarding Julio Jones and the one big play Jones broke against the Jets was when Claiborne wasn’t covering him. The Jets secondary did a good job in coverage especially when Todd Bowles put the defensive back in single coverage with no help over the top.
Coverage was tight by the secondary without any bug blown coverages, outside of the big play by Julio Jones. They kept the Jets in the game and made it a reasonable score instead of letting this game turn into a shootout.
