New York Jets Week 7 Position Report Card
By Nolan Rich
What’s amazing after watching Sunday’s game was that the Jets only surrendered three sacks. If it wasn’t for McCown’s mobility in the pocket and getting rid of the ball quickly there would have been a lot more. The line was terrible in pass protection with McCown running for his life the entire afternoon.
The team couldn’t slow down Cameron Wake who was constantly in the backfield and had 2.5 sacks against the Jets. Not only was the pass protection horrible, the offensive line committed too may penalties that negated long gains and they had multiple false starts in the fourth quarter when the offense was trying to put the game away.
Penalties and terrible pass protection. It was not a good day for New York’s buffet busters.
