Ok in all seriousness Miami who came up with the genius idea to play a Sunday afternoon football game less than 24 hours after a college football game? Did you really think the grass field would be ready? I’m no horticulturist but even I know that grass needs time to recover after a football game.
Did you know it was going to rain? No, but it’s Florida it’s wet there all the time. Here’s an idea Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Dolphins, University of Miami, or whoever is in charge. Don’t play back to back football games or schedule it so neither team is there the same week.
Worst case scenario if you want Thursday or Monday night NFL football for Friday or Saturday night football that’s fine, but back-to-back in less than 24 hours is ridiculous.
Both teams were lucky no-one was seriously injured from the field and event he broadcasters knew about the issue. Instead of talking about Buster Skrine giving up another big play, the announce team was saying how horrible the field conditions were.
I know grass fields aren’t perfect and I love games played on muddy fields, but come on use some common sense when it comes to scheduling two football games within 24 hours.
