2. Get a Pass Rush Going

Yes it has been a common theme all season. It more than likely will remain one all season.

Remember how confident Todd Bowles was after the 0-2 start? His attitude was to just keep moving forward and the team would be just fine. We wondered how he could be so confident. The team had been everything the experts thought they would be over the first two weeks. There was no worry, at least publicly, from the head coach. From there, the Jets went on to win three straight and three out of four including this past week.

By that logic, the Jets pass rush should be back in a big way on Sunday. We have all wondered where Muhammad Wilkerson and Leonard Williams have been so far this season. There names aren’t spoken that often during the games so far because  they haven’t been able to find the quarterback with a GPS navigator. Todd Bowles is behind these players and gets annoyed when questioned about them. Does he know something we don’t? Is this the week?

Kony Ealy has made his presence felt, though he hasn’t recorded a sack either. To date, he has recorded seven passes defended, more than he did in his first three seasons in the league. Isn’t it nice to see someone Bill Belichick let go play well for us for a change? Maybe he can get to Cutler this weekend. Somehow, some way, the Jets need to figure this out and get an edge rush going. Force some errors out of Cutler. They are there to be had.
