New York Jets Week 6 Position Report Card
By Nolan Rich
This week was a mixed bag of good and bad for the secondary. The bad was giving up multiple big plays, including a 42-yard pass to Brandin Cooks in the waning seconds of the first half, allowing the Patriots to punch in a score to tie the game before the break.
Unfortunately, like most defenses, the Jets did not have an answer for Rob Gronkowski who torched New York for 83 yards and two touchdowns. It was a rough first meeting for Jamal Adams who was tasked with guarding Gronkowski and had trouble slowing the big tight end down.
However, this unit did limit Brady to just 20 completions on 38 attempts and had a big interception by Buster Skrine.
Like last season, it was the big plays that hurt this unit.
