Here are the three New York Jets takeaways from the game against the New England Patriots.

This certainly wasn’t the game everyone expected from the New York Jets. Most experts felt this one would be easy for New England on their way to a 4-2 record. The Jets had other ideas and came to play. They even jumped out to a 14 point lead early in the ball game. Frankly, Jets fans everywhere were going crazy. Tom Brady and company were doing absolutely nothing and the Jets were dominating the play.

But the Jets couldn’t put the nail in the coffin. After going ahead 14-0, the Jets offense went stagnant, allowing Brady to bring his back into it. They were able to tie the game going into the half and the momentum clearly had switched over to the road team. To top it off, the Patriots would be receiving the second half kickoff.

The Patriots took the lead but the Jets stayed in it. Then there was the controversial call involving Austin Seferian-Jenkins and his touchdown that was taken away by the referees. They were able to get within a touchdown late but were unable to do anymore damage and the final score was 24-17. The Jets drop to 3-3 and the Patriots moved to 4-2.

Now, it’s time to see what we can glean from this game. What can we take away, positive or negative, as this team develops and progresses? As always, we have our three takeaways from the game. Let’s get to it.
