. . Secondary. B +.

While the defensive line has been one of the biggest disappointments of the season, the secondary has been the biggest surprise. On Sunday the team forced two interceptions including a big interception in the red zone by Marcus Maye, the first of his career.

One of the best additions in the offseason has been Morris Claiborne who led the Jets with eight tackles and an interception of his own.

It was a mixed bag for Jamal Adams against Cleveland. The rookie had six tackles he struggled to cover David Njoku. Granted Njoku had a great one-handed catch, but Adams jumped the route to early allowing Njoku to get behind him.

The other big Browns play of the game was a 41 yard screen pass late in the game which worked because the Jets secondary couldn’t get off blocks and allowed the big play. Even though there were mistakes, this unit did make big plays and showed that they have the ability to force turnovers.
