Key Arrivals

Interim head coach Doug Weight was given the full-time position during the off-season.

Jordan Eberle was acquired in a trade with the Oilers.

The 2017 NHL draft has come and gone. The Isles made a trade with the expansion Vegas Golden Knights so they didn’t have a first round pick.

They however drafted:

Robin Salo, Ben Mirageas, Sebastain Aho, Arnaud Durandeau, Logan Cockerill.

Key Departures

The biggest move of the off-season was sending away Travis Hamonic. 

Jean Francois Berube was selected by the Knights in the expansion draft, after agreeing to trade “draft right consideration” for a first round pick.

Mikhali Grabovski was also sent to the Golden Knights  as part of the trade.
