B+. . . . Special Teams

The biggest improvement from last week? This unit didn’t have a crippling momentum killing turnover. Kerley not only showed his value as a receiver but also as a sure handed return man.

Punter Lachlan Edwards had a strong game pinning the Dolphins instead the twenty on three of his five punts and even unleashed a 61 yard punt in the game. Edwards was precise punting inside the twenty and a booming leg to kick it over 60 yards.

The reason special teams will not get the “A” grade today is because Chandler Catanzaro was 2-for-3 on field goals. Luckily for the Jets the missed three-point opportunity wasn’t in a closer game and it didn’t cost the team in the end.
