Is Eli the problem, or is it the pieces around him that need work?

Eli Manning had an awful outing in week one, but was it all his fault? We take a closer look before week two.

Eli Manning’s week one outing was nothing short of a disappointment, but maybe he isn’t the reason the Giants took the loss.

Okay… well… he was a big part of it, but there was more going on that just that.

I’ve been harping on this offensive line for a calendar year now, and it hasn’t gotten any better. You’d think with all the pieces they keep getting, they’d successfully get a left tackle.

It is just terrible.

Ereck Flowers is so bad, the run game is abysmal, I just can’t deal with it anymore. I can’t watch 16

games of this trash. I just cant.

Being a Giants fan my whole life is one of the best things my father gave me. I’ve seen two Super Bowls, but I’ve also seen some bad seasons.

This is supposed to be a great season, but if we can’t get a line, it will be terrible.

Eli’s performance was bad, and he needs to be better, but it’s not all his fault. Sure, it looks like he’s squashing bugs, and when he throws I get a little afraid, but he needs protection.

If you were a quarterback with that line, you’d be dancing the salsa too.

So, in short, it’s not all Eli’s fault, but he does need something going in the right direction for week two.

The Giants need more drives like they had at the start of the second half this past week. The lone point-scoring drive was long, put together, and just lacked a touchdown. If they can put more drives like that out there, then they will win games.

Eli Manning, find a way to turn it around this week please.
