New York Giants: Without Odell Beckham Jr. they look lost
Last night the New York Giants took the field without their star wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr. and to put it mildly they looked lost.
The New York Giants played awfully last night and all the blame could be put on one person. That person was not even on the field, Odell Beckham Jr. Now this isn’t just because of the pure skill that OBJ has, but it’s also because of the fact that he draws defenders and creates openings for other players.
Since Odell’s debut in 2014 he has missed two games, one of which was last night. In those two games the Giants have lost by a combined score of 68-20. This goes to show you that the Giants are too reliant on their star wide receiver.
If Odell Beckham Jr. does not play next week there is a good chance that the Giants start 0-2. Eli Manning does not know how to use his other wide receivers and he simply seemed lost last night in Dallas.

The Giants are far too reliant on their passing game and because of it, running back Paul Perkins got only seven touches for 16 yards behind the Giants atrocious offensive line. Paul Perkins is a player who can turn to be one of the better running backs in the league, that of course depends on if the Giants give him more than seven touches a game.
The Giants could not get anything done last night and they lost because of it. Eli Manning could not seem to find anyone to throw to, yet they stuck with throwing the ball instead of handing it off. This would be one thing if Odell was playing because he would create opportunities both for himself and for others, but Odell was not playing.
For next week’s game against the Lions the offensive line better step up.
