The New York Giants season opens up in Dallas on Sunday Night Football. With two high-powered offenses set to take the field, this game will rely on Big Blue’s defense.

New York Giants fans can finally relax because it’s time for football season.

Ah yes it’s the best time of year once again. The time of year where we Giants fans can get back to saying our usual go-to saying.

“We love our defense.”

The New York Giants defense enters the year ranked in the top five in team defenses league wide.

Week one will be an immediate test for Big Blue as the take on Dallas, for what most think will be a shootout.

Not so fast.

The Giants defense is going to have to step up big time in order to get a much needed week one win. They need the corners to shut down the Cowboys’ steady receiving corps, and they need the

line to contain sophomore quarterback Dak Prescott.

Oh yeah, and they have to prepare to face Ezekiel Elliott, which is honestly ridiculous.

The man was suspended, and he should serve his suspension, but I digress.

The Giants need to see the defense pickup right where they left off in 2017 in order to see out a win this week in Dallas.

Dallas is the biggest threat to the Giants in the division, and what better way to start the year, than to beat them on their own turf?

I, like most other Giants fans, love to see Jerry Jones burn. I’d give anything to see Dallas lose this week after this outrageous fight over Zeke’s suspension.

The GMen need to see a shutdown performance edges by Olivier Vernon and Jason Pierre-Paul.

The difference maker will be BJ Goodson. If he can be the leader the New York Giants need him to be, Elliott will wish he served his week one suspension.
