With the 2017 season all but over for the New York Mets, it’s time to take a look towards the future. Here are my early predictions for the 2018 New York Mets starting lineup.

2017 has not been a kind year to the New York Metropolitans. With a myriad of injuries and players underperforming, it is clear that the team has already begun planning ahead for next season by trading veterans Curtis Granderson, Jay Bruce, Lucas Duda, Addison Reed, and Neil Walker to shed salary and open up spots for younger players.

With the team already looking forward to next season, it’s time to whip out the crystal ball and make some early predictions on what the New York Mets lineup will look like in 2018.

Before we begin, this list will focus on the position players, not the starting rotation or bullpen. The starting rotation will be the focus of another list.

Who will be possibly starting for the 2018 Mets? Let’s take a look.
