“Doc”

Talent on Talent could be a way to describe Dwight Gooden.  He had some killer years with the Mets, and of course a no-no with the Yanks, but his nickname might be his most lasting impression on the game.

ORIGIN: A family friend was a doctor in Tampa, FL and would tell Dwight to “operate” on opposing hitters like a doctor.  In the pros, his teammates added “K” to become “Dr. K”.
