As we inch closer to the start of the NFL regular season, we break down each position on the New York Giants roster. Our final preview is the safeties, Big Blue’s last line of defense.

The New York Giants saw two safeties really step up last year. Landon Collins went from draft bust to All-Pro and Andrew Adams went from undrafted free agent to 13 game starter.

Improved safety play combined with stellar cornerbacks turned Big Blue’s secondary into one of the better ones in the league.

Andrew Adams saw so much action because Darian Thompson missed most of the season with an injury. If he can return healthy, the New York Pass Defense (NYPD) will be that much better.

The Giants currently have eight safeties on their roster and will likely keep just four of them.

We’ll take a look at each S and predict which ones will make the final 53-man roster.
