Aaron Maybin

Selected 11th Overall, 2009.

Aaron Maybin was supposed to be a solid NFL Player. The Penn State DE was a standout in college and just fell outside the top 10.

Coming onto a then very mediocre Bills team, Maybin could have been the guy to get the Bills over the hump.

As history shows, this was not the case.

Maybin singed his rookie deal and played all 16 games for the Bills in 2009. He recorded zero sacks. That lack of production killed the Bills’ defense.

The next year for the Bills he would only play 11 games also recording ZERO sacks.

He has been out of the league since 2013 and has only 6 career sacks, all as a member of the rival New York Jets.

That just pours salt in the wound.

The Bills ended up getting Pro Bowl Center and current Bill fan favorite Eric Wood in the first round of 2009 as well, which helps, but still it does not take away what could’ve been.

Maybin did not even play in 30 games with the team that drafted him in the first round, that screams bust.
