New York Giants 2017 Roster Preview: Cornerbacks
By Sean Dyer
As we inch closer to the start of the NFL regular season, we break down each position on the New York Giants roster. Let’s take a look at one of the top cornerback trios in the league, the New York Pass Defense (NYPD).
The New York Giants put significant resources into their cornerback position last offseason and it paid dividends in the regular season. However, an injury to Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers hurt Big Blue’s defense and Aaron Rodgers was able to lead the Pack to a victory.
If the Giants cornerbacks can stay healthy in 2017, they could have one of the best CB trios in the NFL.
The top of New York’s cornerback depth chart looks the same as last year but their reserves will look different after Big Blue moved on from Coty Sensabaugh, Trevin Wade, and Leon Hall.
The New York Giants currently have eight cornerbacks on their roster and will likely keep five for the regular season.
We’ll take a look at each CB and predict which ones will make the final 53-man roster.
