Dalvin Tomlinson and Robert Thomas

After losing Johnathan Hankins in free agency, the New York Giants selected Dalvin Tomlinson with their second round pick.

Tomlinson could have gone to Harvard based on his academics but chose Alabama because of their college football dominance.

Once under Nick Saban’s tutelage, Tomlinson was a part of a loaded Alabama defensive front. Primarily a run stuffer, Tomlinson can also rush the passer a bit, with four career sacks.

Tomlinson is in a preseason battle with Jay Bromley to earn the second starting defensive tackle spot but will get plenty of reps even if he’s a reserve.

Robert Thomas saw action in eight games last year with the Giants after spending most of his previous career on different practice squads.

Thomas totaled five tackles and a sack in his limited action. I like Thomas’ potential as a pass rushing defensive tackle, especially with the other big three DTs being more of run stuffers.

Robert Thomas should round out what would be a solid New York Giants defensive tackle depth chart.
