Live Nine-Inning Analysis of the third game of the Subway Series
6th Inning
Aaron Hicks led things off with a first pitch fly out to Cespedes in left field.
Judge would step in after his mammoth homerun, and knock a single to left off of a pitch in on the hands.
Gregorious would walk to make it runners on first and second and just one out, for Gary Sanchez. Sanchez steps in 0-2 on the day.
Gsellman would walk the bases loaded for the red-hot Chase Headley, and that would be all for the Mets starter.
Pitching Change Mets: Paul Sewald
In would come Paul Sewald, and he would inherit three runners.
Headley would step in 4-8 on the season with the bases loaded, and hit a deep fly ball to center for an out. It would however be enough to drive in Judge, and move Gregorious to third.
The Yankees take the lead on the sac-fly, 3-2.
Cooper would line out to short to end the top of the inning.
Asdrubal Cabrera would lead things off for the Mets with Garcia still manning the bump for the Yankees.
He would line a base hit to left field on another hanging breaker from the left hand of Garcia. Tommy Kahnle is beginning to warm up in the bullpen after the hit.
Sanchez would make an incredible block on a breaking ball, and nab Cabrera trying to take second by a few steps for the first out of the inning.
Uhh… Cespedes started walking to first after a ball on a 2-2 count… it was hilarious.
Cespedes ACTUALLY walked after a low fastball. The Mets get a man on first with one out.
Conforto would come up first pitch swinging and knock one to the gap in left, and Cespedes would get to third on obstruction by Chase Headley, and that would be all for Garcia.
Pitching Change Yankees: Tommy Kahnle
In comes Kahnle for the Yankees.
He inherits two runners from Garcia, and he would get d’Arnaud to fly out to center, but it would be hit deep enough to move both runners up.
Cespedes scores, and the teeter-totter continues as the game is tied 3-3.
A fly out to center would end the inning, but the game is now tied 3-3.
