Live Nine-Inning Analysis of the third game of the Subway Series
4th Inning
Oh my god……… Aaron Judge just to the guys in the ESPN booth to shut up.
As the guys in the booth for ESPN broke down the trouble in Judge’s swing, he hit an absolute moonshot into the highest deck of Citi Field.
The sound was loud, the stadium went quiet, and Cespedes didn’t even take a step in left field.
A 457-foot homerun gives the Yankees a 2-1 lead.
Still coming out of awe, Gregorious hit a looping liner to second base for the first out of the inning.
Gary Sanchez would step up, and strikeout after not being able to hold up his swing on a breaking ball in the dirt.
Chase Headley took a hack at the first pitch of his at-bat and lined it into the right field corner. It would bounce into the seats for a ground-rule double for the third baseman.
Garrett Cooper hits a sharp grounder to third to end the top half of the inning.
Garcia takes the mound in the fourth with the lead for the first time as a Yankee, and he struck out Cespedes on an incredible breaking ball in the dirt.
After getting Conforto to a 1-2 count, Garcia would miss his spot on a breaker, but it would be hit right into the shift. Torreyes would make a 360 spin and throw to first of the out.
A little tapper by d’Arnaud back to Garcia would end the inning.
If you didn’t see it, go look for a video of Judge’s homerun. 2-1 Yanks at the end of the fourth.
