LT Ereck Flowers and RT Bobby Hart

The New York Giants will have the same two starting offensive tackles from last year and will rely on breakout seasons from both Ereck Flowers and Bobby Hart.

Ereck Flowers was the Giants first round pick in 2015 (9th overall) but all Giants fans know that he hasn’t lived up to expectations so far.

Flowers has turned the Giants left tackle position into a revolving door. Based on his performance, New York might as well have put a folding chair out there to cover Eli Manning’s blindside.

For as little as he’s shown us, I do believe there’s still time for Flowers to justify his draft position.

Flowers is just 23 years old and at 6’6″ 329 lb., he has the size to overpower pass rushers and keep Eli clean.

I would not be surprised if he continues to struggle but I do think that Ereck Flowers will finally take the step forward we’ve been waiting two years for.

As for Bobby Hart, I’m a believer that his best play would come at right guard, but considering the rest of the Giants options at right tackle, Hart will stay there.

The Giants used a seventh round pick on Hart in 2015 and he started 13 games for them last year in his sophomore season.

The 22-year-old has had his ups and downs at right tackle. There are times where he makes me think he could possibly develop into a solid right tackle. Then there are other times where he definitely needs to kick inside to guard.

Considering he was a seventh round pick, Hart has already given the Giants more than they could have hoped for. However, with Ereck Flowers being a question mark on the left side, it would be nice if Bobby Hart could at least solidify the right side.
