The New York Jets season is right around the corner, so we’re breaking down each position on their roster. After having the worst tight end production in the NFL in 2016, Gang Green will be looking to get more from the position this year.

The New York Jets have only five tight ends on their current roster and one of them is suspended to start the season. They will likely keep four tight ends for Week 1, going down to three when their top tight end’s suspension is up.

Gang Green had the worst production from their tight ends in the NFL last year, by far. New York Jets tight ends had just 18 catches for 173 yards on the season. They didn’t score a single touchdown as a positional unit.

The Jets will need more production from their tight ends in 2017 to help an offense that will have a young quarterback and lost its top wide receiver for the season.

We’ll take a look at each TE and predict which ones will make the final 53-man roster.
