Kevin Norwood, Jerome Lane, Keeon Johnson, and Kevin Snead

Kevin Norwood was a fourth round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2014. He appeared in nine games his rookie year, including two starts, and had nine receptions for 102 yards. He has not caught a pass since.

Norwood has good size (6’2″ 210 lb.) but at 27 years old, it’s likely the Giants give a younger receiver a roster spot. Kevin Norwood also doesn’t really have enough upside to earn a spot on New York’s practice squad.

Jerome Lane is an undrafted free agent out of Akron who didn’t hear his name called at the NFL Draft despite being at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Lane has even better size than Norwood. The former Zip stands 6’3″ tall and 220 lb.

Jerome Lane has plenty of upside but will likely get buried by the Giants wide receiver depth. He is definitely a candidate for the practice squad.

Keeon Johnson signed with Big Blue after going undrafted out of Virginia. He’s 6’2″ 211 lb. but is way down on the depth chart. There’s very little chance Johnson makes the 53-man roster. He’s fighting for a shot at the practice squad.

Kevin Snead is known as “The Fastest Man in College Football” after he ran a 4.22 40-yard dash at Tennessee’s Pro Day, tying John Ross’s NFL Scouting Combine record.

Snead attended Division II Carson-Newman and was a track star, but has limited football experience. He had just five career catches.

As fast as he is, Kevin Snead is pretty much just a one-trick pony and doesn’t seem to have a spot on the New York Giants 53-man roster.
