Julian Howsare, Anthony Firkser, and Algernon Brown

Julian Howsare beat out Tommy Bohanon in 2016 for the Jets fullback job and played in two games before getting cut.

This fullback competition is pretty much there for the taking. Howsare’s brief time with New York last year could help him out.

Anthony Firkser is an undrafted free agent out of Harvard who brings more receiving experience than most fullbacks. During his senior year at Harvard, Firkser had 45 catches for 702 yards and seven touchdowns.

Algernon Brown is an undrafted free agent out of BYU who saw limited action in college. Brown was a running back at BYU and is at least 20 pounds lighter than Howsare and Firkser.

Undersized and under utilized in college, Brown is a longshot to make the 53-man roster.

Anthony Firkser’s receiving ability ultimately beats out Julian Howsare and his brief Jets experience for the fullback job.
