Jordan Todman, Marcus Murphy, and Romar Morris

With the New York Jets likely keeping four running backs, these three guys will battle for the final spot.

The New York Jets will be Jordan Todman‘s sixth NFL team. Todman doesn’t provide much in terms of rushing or receiving. His best skill set is as a kick returner. In 2016 for the Indianapolis Colts, Todman averaged 29.9 yards per kick return, including a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Marcus Murphy spent the last two seasons with the New Orleans Saints, almost exclusively as a special teamer. Murphy has a career 9.4-yard punt return average but struggled with ball security, putting the ball on the ground three times on 34 punt returns.

Romar Morris signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina in 2016. He has yet to see NFL action and is a longshot to make New York’s 53-man roster.

With Jordan Todman providing the most reliable special team contributions, he should beat out these youngsters for the last spot.
