New York Giants: Top Five Players in need of a Big Preseason
Number Two- Will Tye, TE
All I have to say is… goodbye Will Tye.
I mean, it is possible that Tye ends up getting a spot with the New York Giants, but it will be a very limited role.
The Giants drafted Evan Engram this year in the first round, and he is going to be the pass-catching tight end in this offense. They also went out and signed tight end Rhett Ellison to be a blocker, and that leaves Tye in limbo.
He was the mainstay tight end the last two years for the Giants, but now there’s no guarantees for him.
Tye is a talented player, but he isn’t as good of a pass catcher as Engram. The Giants could end up using a two tight end set, but if Jerrell Adams shows up, it could be a recipe for disaster for Tye.
I love Tye, and I think he could be a good tight end in this league, but he really has to impress this preseason to make sure he is still wearing blue this season.
