New York Giants: Top Five Players in need of a Big Preseason
Number Three- Owa Odighizuwa, DE
Owa Odighizuwa is in need of a really good preseason this year.
One thing the New York Giants love to do, especially because of Steve Spagnuolo, is hybridize their pass rushers.
Odighizuwa is a great pass rusher, and he will be really valuable if he proves his wealth this preseason. He can be the switch rusher to either Olivier Vernon, or Jason Pierre-Paul.
The thing is, he is definitely going to play a ton this preseason, and that could help or hurt him.
If he shows up, and he dominates, no worries. He’s got himself a job. If he under performs… well, that could spell trouble.
He is a guy that tends to make good on his chances, and I see that happening here.
He still needs to have a good preseason though. It isn’t as dire as the guys ahead of him, but it is important that he hits a good stride before the season starts.
I think the UCLA product will fare really well in 2017, but he needs a good preseason to kick it off.
