Final Thoughts

Due to the fact that the NHL changed their uniform supplier from Reebok to Adidas, the Islanders will not only have a new look on their roster but on their sweaters as well.

The NHL offseason is a long one. The summer is not even over yet.

The Islanders could still have a few tricks up their sleeves.

Even though most fans may not find the Islanders’ offseason ideal thus far, it has been encouraging.

They just missed the playoffs last year, they still have John Tavares signed for next season, most of their young talent is returning, and they shuffled some lines around.

Losing their lottery selection last month hurts right now but looks smart for next year.

New York was right on the cusp of another playoff run once Weight took over.
