Yankees Daily Trade Deadline Profile: David Robertson, Todd Frazier, Tommy Kahnle

3B Todd Frazier, Chicago White Sox, Buy
The Yankees have been looking almost all year for first base help. Although Todd Frazier’s natural position is across the diamond at third base, he could help solve New York’s issues at the not-so-hot corner.
Frazier should see time at both first and third base. Chase Headley will likely do the same.
The biggest thing that Todd Frazier will bring to the Yankee offense is power. The right-handed slugger is hitting just .206 this year but has 16 home runs and 44 RBI.
Frazier’s HR/RBI numbers the past three years have been 29/80, 35/89, and 40/98.
The 31-year-old’s power should only improve while playing in Yankee Stadium. Frazier will get plenty of opportunities as Joe Girardi said he will be the everyday third baseman.
Chase Headley will get a “crash course” at first base. Headley will likely platoon with Garrett Cooper.
A free agent at the end of the year, Frazier will not block top prospect Gleyber Torres from taking over at third next year. He won’t block Greg Bird from returning as the first baseman of the future either.
Todd Frazier brings another power bat to the Yankee lineup and could solve one, if not both, of their corner infield problems.
