MLB’s non-waiver trade deadline is July 31st. As the New York Yankees appear to be in playoff contention, every day this month we will take a look at a player who could be involved in the Yankees’ deadline activity. These players will either be current Yankees who could be traded away or players from other organizations who New York could look to acquire for the playoff push.

Today’s Daily Trade Deadline Profile was all written up to be David Robertson. Late last night, however, the Yankees made my prediction a reality when they acquired Robertson along with Todd Frazier and Tommy Kahnle from the Chicago White Sox.

The Yankees needed help at first base, in their starting rotation, and in their bullpen. New York potentially checked off two of those boxes Tuesday night.

We’ll take a look at the three players the Yankees acquired in exchange for Tyler Clippard, Ian Clarkin, and former Daily Trade Deadline Profile prospects Blake Rutherford and Tito Polo.
