A few of New York’s best current and past athletes cracked the Sports Illustrated Fashionable 50 issue. Check out our top five most fashionable New Yorkers that cracked the list.

The Sports Illustrated Fashionable 50 issue hit shelves this week, and some familiar faces cracked it.

New York is known as a fashion mecca, and there is no exception for its athletes. From the hardwood, to the turf of the NFL, New York athletes always make a splash on the red carpet.

Eight past and present New York athletes made Sports Illustrated’s list, but little does everyone realize, the Empire Writes Back top Five is even more elite.

All jokes aside, we’ve decided that we are going to take a stab at narrowing the eight New Yorkers on the list, down to just five.

It’ll be a difficult task, but no one ever said fashion is easy.

We take style seriously here at Empire Writes Back, and it takes a special character in order to crack our top five most fashionable New York athletes.
