Number Two- Wayne Gallman

On the flipside from Vereen, we find the spry rookie in Wayne Gallman.

Gallman is one of the best draft picks that Jerry Reese has ever taken. He is a galloping runner, and he compliments Paul Perkins so well.

Gallman obviously knows what it takes to win, as he spent his college career at Clemson. He went to two National Championship games, and won one.

He also is more of a power runner than Perkins is. It looks somewhat similar to the Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw era, but Gallman is missing one key component.

The Giants are now a pass first team, and Gallman isn’t the best pass catcher in the world. He will primarily be a handcuff back, used in third down, short yardage, and goal line situations, but he needs to learn how to catch out of the backfield.

That is where Vereen comes into play.

He will have to help Gallman learn how to become a pass catcher in order to better his development as a running back in the NFL.

Gallman is going to be huge for the New York Giants, and he will pair well with the obvious number one choice on our list.
