Carmelo Anthony and Rajon Rondo Updates:

The biggest question facing the Knicks this offseason has been what they are going to do with Carmelo Anthony.

It was rumored that they were going to buy him out, but once that was shot down news broke that Carmelo would lift his no-trade clause for two teams. Those two teams are the Houston Rockets and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

At the moment, it does not look too promising that Melo ends up with either of those teams.

The Cavaliers never showed any real interest in Carmelo Anthony, so they are kind of eliminated in a sense.

It’s also unlikely that Anthony ends up with his buddy Chris Paul and the Rockets because of one man: Mike D’Antoni.

Mike D’Antoni admitted this past season that he quit his job as the Knicks head coach because of Carmelo Anthony.

After D’Antoni just won NBA Coach of the Year, he has more of a say within the organization than ever. So why would he allow the Rockets to trade for Anthony if he quit his job with the Knicks because of him?

There have also been many rumors surrounding Rajon Rondo and the Knicks.

After the Bulls released the veteran point guard, rumors immediately surrounded the Knicks and Rondo.

So after the Knicks have brought in numerous guards this offseason, will they bring in another one in Rajon Rondo?

Chances are we will see the former star point guard in a Knicks jersey starting next season.

It has been reported that both Rondo and the Knicks have mutual interest in each other.

With that being said, the two will most likely begin contract negotiations very soon.

There is a good chance that we see Rajon Rondo and the Knicks agree to a contract by the end of the week.
